Ban.do, the Insta-popular indie brand based in Los Angeles, has collaborated with Starbucks on a summer ready line of accessories, and it launches today.
The limited edition 10-piece collection of drinkware and accessories includes hot and cold reusable drink cups, plus some of the stuff that made ban.do super popular amongst the millennial set, like a tote bag, pencil pouch, luggage tag, passport holder, coasters, and notebooks.
Here’s the kicker, though: it’s not available in the Americas or Europe. It’ll be in select Starbucks locations throughout Australia, Singapore, Thailand, Hong Kong, Cambodia, Taiwan, South Korea, and China starting today.
“All the designs were based off of the idea that we’d bring a little slice of LA sunshine and fun to theother side of the world,” Jen Gotch, Founder and Chief Creative Officer of ban.do, said in a press release. “We wanted to give our international fans—both old and new—something really special that they couldn’t get anywhere else.”
“Togetherness is really important at ban.do,” said Gotch. “And it’s something we felt totally aligned with Starbucks. Plus, we’re both super passionate about our products —down to the last detail.”
But US based fans can enter a giveaway for the exclusive line, with five winners getting both Starbucks signature travelers and all the accessories, and 45 winners getting one signature traveler and one accessory. It’s free to enter and you have until June 16 to do so.
A second limited edition capsule is planned for July, and fingers crossed, they’ll be some future collections available in the US, too.
This isn’t the first time Starbucks has partnered with a fan fave design brand; in February, the company released a limited edition line of S’well water bottles created in partnership with Lilly Pulitzer. We wonder who will be next?
