Ahoy there, ya land lubbers. If you yearn for the excitement of the open seas but are partial to living on solid ground, we’ve got great news. There’s a tiny house in Sonoma County, California that comes with its very own pirate treehouse. It’s arrrrguably the cutest home for sale we’ve seen in quite awhile.
The zen tiny house on the banks of
Plum Dutch Bill Creek in Monte Rio is a little slice of Little House in the Big Woods, but with fewer wooden dolls and probably less fiddle playing.
The main tiny house packs quite a bit into its 324 square feet, where "every nook is intentional from the petite wood stove to the sleeping loft," according to the listing. The rustic space was built in 1959, and has a full bathroom with clawfoot tub, an "efficient" kitchenette, and a canopied deck that runs the length of the home and nearly doubles the living space. There’s also an outdoor shower.
The land includes two lots totaling nearly half an acre, and there’s plenty of ways to enjoy nature (which is probably something important for those in the market for a tiny house in the woods). As mentioned, the creek is right there (the listing states you can "feed the ducks"), as well as already established zip lines through the Redwoods and pathways to a Redwood fairy ring. There’s room to park your boat or RV, too.
You haven’t forgotten about the pirate treehouse, have you? It has a staircase that wraps around the tree trunk (no need to climb any rope ladders here) and can double as a guest lodge. There’s also two sheds on the land in which to hide your treasures.
Want to make it yours? The home is listed with Vanguard Properties for $300,000.
