Miley Cyrus Buys a Modern Farmhouse in Her Tennessee Hometown

Disney star turned pop singer Miley Cyrus is heading back to her country roots. The daughter of Billy Ray Cyrus bought a farmhouse style manse in Franklin, Tennessee, the city where she was born.

Cyrus purchased the property for $5.8 million in late July, according to the Nashville Post. The nearly 7,000 square foot house has five bedrooms and four full and two half bathrooms. Despite being built in 2014, the place has some of the hallmarks of a traditional Southern property, including a wraparound porch and screened in sun room (with a totally covetable porch swing).

Inside looks like a Joanna Gaines’ mood board on steroids, with lots of wood beams, shiplap, and stone fireplaces. “Great attention to detail can be seen throughout the home and property with the merging of new and old building materials,” says the listing.

The property’s 33 and a half acres includes a mini golf/putting green, a pool with a hot tub, and a log cabin that’s separate from the main house. The farmhouse features a roof deck above the sun room from which to enjoy the view.

While the “Malibu” singer still has a property (a 1958 bungalow she bought in 2016) in the coastal Cali town, her new pad is definitely a homecoming—her mom and sister run a decorating business (and have a Bravo show) in the Nashville area.

Earlier this month, Rolling Stone reported that Miley’s next album, Younger Now, would be released in September and will embrace her country past.
