This Weekend: Take 30 Minutes to Hide All Evidence of This Ugly Eyesore — Weekend Projects

99.9% of homes have these particularly annoying things that are both a physical nuisance, and also visually drag our living spaces down. We can’t get rid of them entirely, so instead tuck them away and pray they remain hidden out of sight. But time and time again — despite our silent pleas and crossed fingers— out they come again, creeping into the open. And man do they have a long reach! This weekend, spend half an hour on a more permanent solution, and never give them a second glance again.

This Weekend’s Assignment: Tame your unruly cords and hide all those ugly electronics.

Cords: We have fifty million cords these days for lamps, televisions, computers — all snaking their way around your living space, or hanging underneath furniture, well within your line of vision. Learn how to wrap them right and then keep them out of sight:

Electronics: And then the cable boxes, routers, and televisions aren’t so great either. Take a look at what’s sticking out like a sore thumb, and think about some camouflage.

Remember, as with all of our Weekend Projects, just do what you have the time and energy to do. This is a marathon, not a sprint!
