Dream Big: Celebrity Halloween Costumes We Love

Halloween is just around the corner and while some of you may have had your costume on lock since July, there are plenty of folks out there without a clue as to what to do. We’ve already rounded up some DIY costume ideas, TV inspired costume ideas, and pet costumes but sometimes you just need a some good old fashioned celebrity inspiration. With seemingly unlimited budget and resources, these celebs take their halloween costumes very seriously, so click through and dream big.

Halloween queen Heidi Klum’s 2015 Jessica Rabbit costume is legendary for its slightly disconcerting but completely impressive execution. She has next level costumes every year, so feel free to peruse her Insta for some truly impressive outfits over the years.

2015 was apparently THE year for celeb Halloween costumes, because the Carter family’s Coming To America family costume still remains inspirational and iconic. Hopefully Rumi and Sir will be making their halloween debut this year.

Neil Patrick Harris and his husband David Burtka continue to dominate the family costume game. This one is particularly charming because everyone gets a costume that works on its own, but really sings when everyone comes together.

Oh, did you think you were going to make it through this list with out at least one Property Brother? Well here they are, in a characteristically goofy but well executed Star Wars costume.

I have been looking at this picture of Trisha Yearwood for days and I still love it as much as I did the first time I laid eyes upon it. Dressing up as your partner is always a good (and usually easy) costume, but it is especially great when your husband is Garth Brooks (and/or Chris Gaines).

No matter how famous and beautiful you may be, sometimes getting a baby into an extremely elaborate costume just isn’t going to happen. Chrissy Teigen went with a less-is-more approach to costumes when it came to daughter Luna (she tried on several) with this straight forward, but very cute costume. Also, Hot Dog is also a totally acceptable costume for a fully grown adult fyi.

Last year Bette Midler went as her character from Hocus Pocus, Winifred Sanderson. This is a triple crown of costume inspiration; go as Winifred, go as Bette, go as something you’ve already been before!
