5 Luxe Home Finds Under $100 (That Look Like a Million Bucks) — Cheap Thrills

Scrolling through Instagram, Pinterest or your favorite design blogs can be a bit disheartening sometimes. Everything is so perfect, and the furniture and accessories are so luxe that it’s easy to get down about the state of your own home. Except any super stylish person will tell you it doesn’t take a ton of money to create a beautiful home. After stumbling across a spectacular floor lamp at Target earlier this week (read on to see it!), I decided to dig up four more fresh finds that look like a million bucks, but won’t set you back more than $100.

Above: Upholstered seating rarely comes cheap, so when I spotted this pair of emerald green velvet dining chairs under $90 (that’s $45 a chair!), I knew it had to make it to this list. There are only a handful of reviews, but they’re all positive, noting how easy they are to put together and that they are made well, and comfortable, for the price. I think these would be great to add a touch of glam to a rustic farmhouse table or a modern white pedestal table.

This is the lamp that started it all (well, that spawned this article, at least). It’s available in a few finishes, but the acrylic and brass just feels extra special, don’t you think?

Anytime I see a big concave or convex mirror in a home, it always looks so unique and artsy and just…cool. It’s that decorative touch you don’t see often that makes you stop and look twice. While not incredibly large (it’s just over 14 inches in diameter), it’d still be a showstopper in a collected vignette, especially for the price.

I’ve written about this particular leaning ladder by Umbra numerous times, and I never tire of it. Touted as a towel rack, I’d also suggest using this in your living room to hold blankets and magazines, in your dressing area to hang accessories, and sure…go ahead and try it in your bathroom for towels. It’s wider than most freestanding landers in the same price range, which gives it a much higher end look.

Sometimes, it’s the little details that take a home from “nice” to “special”. Upgrading the style of unexpected decor items (like a magazine rack) sets your room apart.
