This is Rebecca Atwood’s first permanent bedding collection—the designer sold a handful of one-of-a-kind-quilts created from fabric scraps last year—and it’s as dreamy as you’d expect. The watercolor designs fall into five separate styles, all with relaxing natural inspirations: Cloud, Ocean, Sun, Cape, and Shadow, which are designed to be mixed and matched.

“I love to go to sleep early,” Rebecca told us via email. “My family teases me for always being the first to bed, but I’ve always been this way. I also think a good night sleep is such a big part of overall well-being. If you get a good night’s sleep it’s easier to be more productive, to feel good, to be more compassionate. I really wanted to create pieces that would encourage our customers to get a good night’s sleep.”

The collection includes duvets in linen and cotton, throw blankets, coverlets, shams, and pillows, ranging from $129 to $489.

While most of the pieces have the watercolor vibes the designer is known for, the embroidered pillowcases are sew cute, with messages like “Zzzz” and “Sleep Well/Dream Big“. Rebecca shares the inspiration behind them:

My great-grandmother used to embroider pillowcases and other pieces like tablecloths, and there’s also a big tradition for monogrammed textiles. I wanted to play off of that tradition, but in a way that felt more modern. I wanted to use a heavier, heirloom quality linen, and ours washes so well. It was important to me that the fabric felt substantial. Then I thought about messages I wanted to share—dream big, sleep well. I thought about how my husband is a night owl, and I’m an early bird. I liked the idea of adding in little messages as another layer on the bed.

The bedding collection is available now on RebeccaAtwood.com.
