You’ll Never Guess Where Jordan Peele Keeps His Oscar

The uber-talented, multi-hyphenate Jordan Peele took home the Academy Award for Best Original Screenplay for Get Out at Sunday’s ceremony, making him the first black filmmaker to win the award and only the fourth to have been nominated. And now he has to answer the age old question: where do you keep your Oscar?

Lucky for us, Peele tweeted out the answer to the most pressing question. Well, first he made an A+ joke.

And an eagle eyed Twitter user pointed out that the chair in the background looked mighty familiar….

Peele keeps his Oscar next to one of the most important props from the movie. And honestly, if you’re going to take something notable from that set, a leather chair is a way better bet than tea cups or a bunch of Froot Loops.

If you didn’t get a chance to catch the telecast, Peele gave a lovely and inspirational speech. “This means so much to me. I stopped writing this movie about 20 times because I thought it was impossible.I thought it wasn’t gonna work, I thought no one was gonna make this movie but I kept coming back to it because I knew if someone let me make this movie, that people would hear it and people would see it,” he continued. “So I want to dedicate this to all the people who raised my voice and let me make this movie.”
