While buying houses is de rigeur for Tarek El Moussa, his latest purchase is very special: The Flip or Flop star just dropped $2.8 million on an Orange County mansion of his own, The Blast reports.
El Moussa was so pumped about his big buy that he took to Instagram to announce the news to the world, saying “I BOUGHT A HOUSE!!!!!!! I’m am so excited for my “new beginnings”… sometimes things are meant to )”
It turns out El Moussa wasn’t originally looking to purchase a property, but he spotted the house while driving down the street in Costa Mesa and was instantly mesmerized.
“Within hours I was writing an offer and negotiating the deal…the lesson…if you want something go get it, go after it and never quit!,” Tarek wrote. “This relates to life in general..if there is something you want take action!!! My Babies finally get a home with daddy!!!”
El Moussa’s new digs are quite luxurious: The painted white home has a bright red front door, which leads into the open-air concept space. Embracing the indoor/outdoor aesthetic, several glass doors easily open out to the backyard, while features plenty of outdoor entertaining space. A sparkling swimming pool and spa sits next to a fire pit, with lots of outdoor seating for entertaining or just basking in the sun.
Since splitting from his wife (and Flip or Flop co-star) Christina El Moussa back in 2016, Tarek has been living temporarily in a home close to his yacht, whose name he recently changed from Flip or Flop to “Bad Decisions.”
“It used to be called ‘Flip or Flop,'” he said at the time, People reports. “I recently changed it to ‘Bad Decisions’ because apparently I’ve made a couple.”
