Climb Aboard This Custom Tiny House For Maximum Fitness in 250 SF

If spending more time on self-care, being active, and being outdoors is headlining your life goals right now, then you’re going to love this tiny home that fits mountains of fitness-loving amenities into a mere 250 square feet.

Featured recently on Zillow Porchlight, this custom tiny home built by Portland, Oregon-based Tiny Heirloom packs a 24′ x 13′ bouldering wall exterior, a roll-up garage door (to bring the outdoors in), and a full-sized soaking tub (for recovering from all that activity) into just 250 square feet.

Called the “Tiny Adventure Home”, the custom-built primary residence cost about $145,000, with $35,000 of that going into building the custom climbing wall — which has handholds that can be reconfigured to change up the climbing route.

The organic materials and sustainable construction were all used and designed to blend seamlessly wth the outdoors, where the couple prefers to spend the majority of their time staying fit and active, from the warm reclaimed woods and exposed Edison bulbs to the rich blues of the glazed accent tiles and paint choices in the open kitchen and spa-like bathroom.

After completing the tiny home and sharing it on social media, Tiny Heirloom co-founder and creative director Jason Francis told Zillow that his company has had a number of inquiries about building similar spaces for clients.

“Ideas have spread from it quite a bit, but no one else has bought the exact same thing,” he said. “We have had a client request a rock wall system in the house as a way up to the lofts for his two young boys.”

Like this “the floor is lava!” amazingness from uber-free-range parent Tom Makarov, who uploaded the now-viral video (above) of his two sons using a DIY climbing wall staircase and loft system he built to YouTube back in October.
