This Airline Will Pay You To Travel The World

Got a bad case of wanderlust? Maybe you’ve always dreamed of living abroad and wandering the stone streets of a medieval village or taking in the vistas of Iceland’s remote and unspoiled landscapes? Well, now you can live your dream.

WOW Air, the Icelandic budget airline, has launched a competition to find the creator for its new Wow Travel Guides. The carrier is looking for two friends to travel the world, visiting WOW’s exotic destinations from June 1 until August 15 while creating content. Yep, you read that right, Instagram spouses (or friends) can come along as well!

The competition kicked off this week and entries will close on May 14. To apply, entrants must create a two-minute video offering travel tips for their hometown and upload it to the travel guide competition website. The contest winners will pack up and move to Iceland’s capital, Reykjavik, which they will use as a home base for all their destination hopping. There, they’ll also be given residence in a downtown Reykjavik apartment and receive a $4,000/ month salary — oh yeah, they’ll also have their travel and living expenses paid while gallivanting across their various travel guide destinations.

Not bad considering WOW’s guides will also get to choose which of WOW’s over 30 destinations they want to visit. This includes top locales like Copenhagen, Barcelona, Milan, New York, and Tel Aviv.

So what exactly does the job entail besides visiting some of the world’s most sought-after destinations? These travel guides are the consummate content creators. They must document their trips, create videos, offer budget-friendly travel tips all in an effort create a travel guide for each destination visited. The content will then live on the airline’s Travel Guide website.

The entry period ends May 14, 2018 and winners will be announced on social media on May 18.
