Whether making us cry as Rebecca Pearson on This Is Us or dominating an early-aughts throwback pop playlist, Mandy Moore can do no wrong. This spills over into her stunning, recently renovated mid-century home in LA, and lucky for us, the star just gave a peek at her laundry room over on her Instagram.
Moore and fiancé Taylor Goldsmith moved in back in January 2018 after a year of renovating and working with designer Sarah Sherman Samuel on the home (which she’s also been documenting with the hashtag #mandymooresmidcenturymaison).
On Tuesday, the actress took to Instagram Stories to share her finished laundry room, with a sneak peek at what it looked like before her architect and designer got ahold of it.
“I [heart] doing laundry,” she says in a slide of white text on a black background. “Legitimately love it.” She continues:
The design of the room was important to me. I wanted function but also to enjoy my time in there. It’s not a huuuge space but @emilyfarnhamarchitecture got in there and did her magic to reallocate some space from the pantry to create this (along with @sarahshermansamuel, @bronstruction and @eatondesigns)
Here’s the before:
And here’s the after:
Clearly, the statement wallpaper makes the space. We’re no stranger to a dreamy paper in a laundry room, and this one from Fornasetti does not disappoint, while the on-trend matte black pulls come from Sherman Samuel’s hardware line with Park Studio.
This isn’t the first time the functional spaces in Moore’s home have wowed us; we can’t forget her stunning pantry, from organizers to the stars The Home Edit.
