Just a few months back I moved into a new apartment with one of NYC’s most coveted amenities—a dishwasher. After years of washing every.single.dish by hand, it feels like such a luxury to be able to just rinse my dishes after dinner and load them into the machine. Of course, there are still some pieces that need to be hand washed, so I haven’t been able to get rid of my sponge completely.
And that’s where the annoyance comes in. I hated the look of it when I placed the sponge on my sink ledge, and leaving it just sitting at the bottom of the sink felt sloppy (and made it difficult for the sponge to dry). So I’ve been on the hunt for a solution that’s functional, but also stylish. Enter: Amazon, where I found a cute copper caddy that suctions right onto the side of my sink and keeps my sponge at bay.
The caddy comes in seven different colors that range in price from $7-$14, but the copper option I fell in love with is typically priced from $8-$10. I’m a huge fan of copper kitchen accessories (read: obsessed with my copper Bodum French Press) and I was super pleased with the finish on this caddy. It’s got a nice shine but doesn’t look cheap, and pairs well with my copper soap dispenser from Target’s Project 62 line.
The only downside to this purchase is the sheer amount of copper kitchenware I now have idling in my Amazon cart, just waiting for the day I want to add even more copper to my kitchen. But just for fun, take a look at what else I’m eyeing below.
I love the idea of using these black and copper knives to play off my dark counters and backsplash.
I’ve been in the market for a new set of pots and pans for a while now, and I love the idea of further leaning into my copper obsession with something that usually feels so utilitarian.
These cute canisters would be a great place to store dry goods, like quinoa or farro, or keep coffee grounds out of sight. They would also pop so nicely against my super dark counters.
And what better way to make those copper pots really shine than by pairing them with these copper cooking utensils?
Is there a central theme running through your Amazon wish list too?
