This Highly-Rated Roomba Is Currently 30% Off On Amazon

While we’re still waiting on someone to invent a robot like Rosie from “The Jetsons,” robot vacuums are one easy way to get your space a little cleaner with minimal effort. And while there are several budget options on the market, iRobot, maker of Roomba, has remained the industry standard. If you’ve wanted a one of your own, this might be the deal for you. One of their earlier models is currently 30 percent off on Amazon.

Because the 640 is an older model, it usually retails for $350. However, Amazon is currently selling it for $240, $110 off. It comes with many of the same features of newer, pricier models, with one big exception: It can’t be hooked up to a smart home device or WiFi. That said, if you’re willing to sacrifice the ability to run your Roomba remotely, this is a great buy.

So what are the features you do get? The vacuum is able to clean all floors, including carpet and hardwood, and navigate around your home intelligently. It can even avoid cliffs and drop-offs. The 640 also comes with brushes designed for lifting debris, and a side brush gets along walls and hard-to-reach nooks and crannies.

The 640 is also designed to navigate back to its charging station, meaning it can charge once its done. If you’d rather not be home when it runs, you can set it to clean while you run out the door and know it’s charging while you’re at work or on the go.

This model also has a 4.3 star rating on Amazon with over 1,000 reviews. One reviewer notes that it’s a great starter Roomba since it has newer technology in an older design, meaning you’ll get many of the bells and whistles of the newer models without the price tag. And while no robot vacuum, at least currently, is able to replace a true deep-clean vacuum, it provides an easy and fun way to keep your floors cleaner longer.
